New Appointments
George Osborne has been appointed as the new Manager Economic Development at Hume, effective immediately. Marea Ekladious will continue as Acting Manager Learning Community until further notice. George h as broukght new perspectives to public libraries during his time as Manager Learning COmmunity so his contribution will be missed.
Sally Jones has been appointed to the position of Manager of Libraries, Learing and Youth at Darebin. Before she was was Library Manager at Moonee Valley Sally had had no library experience and her previous job was Manager of Local Laws. However she quickly embraced publci libraries and her great work at Moonee Valley has led to this new appointment. Troy Watson will be Acting Manager of Libraries and Learning at Moonee Valley from 6 January until a new appointment is made.
Jenny Wyllie is the new CEO of High Country Regional Library Corporation - replacing the recently retired Elaine Richmond. Jenny has worked at High Country for some time.
Angelo Gasparini - who some will remember as the former Library Manager at Darebin - has been appointed to fill the postition of Coordinator Library Services for the next twleve months while Beth Mackenzie is on maternity leave.
Charles Gentner is the new CEO at Goulburn Valley Regional Library
Debbie Paylor has been appointed as the new CEO at Upper Murray Regional Library.
Janice Taylor (who some may remember as Janice Biggins) is the new library manager at City of Ballarat. At this stage it appears most of the councils formerly in the Central Highlands Regional Library will be purchasing library services from Ballarat under the name of Central Highlands Libraries.
Tania Paul - former CEO of Central Highlands Regional Library Corporation - has now left Central Highlands and will be taking up a position as Library Manager for the Barossa Council - exchanging cold Ballarat for a life of sunshine and wine.
