Last week the Wheeler Centre announced the shortlisting for the Victorian Premier’s Literary Awards 2017. It’s a list of 21 exceptional works of fiction, non-fiction, drama, poetry and young adult writing, published in Australia over the last year. The Awards include the Victorian Prize for Literature. Worth $100,000, the Victorian Prize for Literature is Australia’s richest single literary Award.

You can get involved in the awards this December and January by reading and voting for your favourite work on the shortlist in our People’s Choice Award. The winner of this award will be named alongside the general category winners, and will receive $2,000. Cast your vote here.
All winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on 31 January 2016.
