Librarians' Choice Top 10 new release books

May 7, 2017

The April list of Librarians' Choice Top 10 new release books, as nominated by Australian Library staff is now available.

This is a free promotional tool that any library can share with their community, with posters and displays or online. We are also very excited to launch Librarians' Choice stickers available for purchase via our website. The stickers make is easy to promote Librarians' Choice titles in your collection.

It's very easy to be involved, simply visit our website, choose the books you'd like to read, and request a review copy from the publisher. If the book is one you'd suggest to a reader, vote for it. Not every request for a review copy will be successful, but we encourage everyone to be patient and persistent while we build the brand and develop relationships with publishers.

We are working with library suppliers to make it easy to add Librarians' Choice titles to your collection - James Bennett and Overdrive both feature the Top 10 list on their website.

Hachette Australia are partnering with us to offer automatic approval to any Librarians' Choice account on NetGalley. If you haven't set up a NetGalley account yet, there is still time. Add in your ALIA number (or the membership number of the library where you work) and select 'librarians' Choice reviewer' from the list of professional associations in your profile.

Hachette are offering hard copies of 2 books that they'd like to share with library reviewers. If you'd like to request a copy, simply send an email to with your name, the address you'd like the books sent to and the name of the book/s you'd like to review.
